Digital cameras have made picture viewing so much more convenient.
Digital cameras have made picture sharing easier and more convenient than developing film. Besides viewing pictures directly on a digital camera or on a computer, you can also share photos at a gathering or with family by displaying them on the television. If you don't have time to burn your pictures to a CD, or don't have a DVD player that will display photo files, this may be an ideal alternative. It's also easy and less time consuming than burning to a CD.
Instructions
1. Locate the digital camera's output port. This may be labeled "Video Out" or "AV Out" on the camera. If you have trouble finding this port, refer to the camera's manual.
2. Connect the output cable to the camera. It is best to have the camera switched off at this time. The end that plugs into the camera is a single connector that fits into the camera port.
3. Connect the RCA connectors into the television. It is best to have the television off at this time. The output cable will have at least one RCA connector -- the video (yellow) connector. This plugs into the yellow (Video In) port on the television. The output cable may also have a black connector (mono sound). For a mono television, this will plug into the white port (Audio In) in your television. The output cable may also have red and white connectors (stereo sound) that plug into the red and white ports (Audio In) of a stereo television.
4. Turn on the television and digital camera. Switch the television to video (look for a "TV/Video" or "AV" button on the remote control). You should now be able to see the pictures from the digital camera on the television.
5. View pictures. Use your camera's control to switch from one picture to another.
