Pioneer Cdj500s Problems

The Pioneer CDJ-500S compact disc player is designed specifically for disc jockeys to use in dance clubs. After you set up the device and start using it, you might need to know remedy issues with non-playing discs and sound interruptions.

Disc Won't Eject

If the disc won't eject when the "Eject" button is pushed, the power connection might be compromised. Unplug the power cord from the outlet to reset the connection. Plug a separate device into the outlet to test the outlet's functionality then plug the CDJ-500S power cord back into the outlet and inspect the cord for damage.

Pauses During Playback

If the disc stops intermittently during playback, the disc might be damaged or dirty. Eject the disc, remove it and inspect the playable side for dirt or scratches. If the disc is dirty, clean it from the center to the outer edges with a dry cleaning cloth; if the disc is badly scratched, replace it.

Distorted Sound

Nearby devices, such as a TV set, might interfere with the noise output from the CDJ-500S. Turn the TV off and relocate the player several feet away from the TV. Plug the player's power cord into a separate outlet from the TV.
