Microsoft Streets & Trips is a navigation, travel and map software that is installed onto your computer. With the software, you can plan any vacation and get downloadable directions to almost anywhere in the U.S. or Canada. Streets & Trips is also GPS-enabled, allowing you to plug in the GPS locator to get turn-by-turn directions anywhere. If you have created routes, contacts or addresses on your computer -- whether through Word, Excel or another program -- you can easily import those routes directly to your Streets & Trips software to avoid re-typing the routes.
Instructions
1. Double-click "Streets & Trips" to open the software. Click "Import Data Wizard" from the Data Menu on the toolbar.
2. Click on the file that you'd like to import. This import list will open once the Import Data Wizard opens. Click "Open."
3. Click on the "Dataset" available when importing files from Excel or Access. This will allow you to choose the specific sheets, ranges or tables of the routes that you'd like to import. Click "Next" when finished. If you are importing routes from Word, Works or another program where a Dataset is not needed, click "Skip."
4. Continue to follow each Data Wizard step, clicking "Next" after each step is completed.
5. Click "Finish" to complete the import process.
