Convert An Slr Camera Into A Digital

SLR cameras have removable lenses.

An SLR camera is a removable-lens-based film camera. You use a standard roll of film that you must process before seeing the images. Although you cannot directly convert the camera into a digital camera, you can convert the pictures it takes into a digital format. This allows you to take pictures and turn them into digital images while saving you money by not having to purchase a new digital camera.

Instructions

1. Take the shot roll of film to a store to be developed, and ask for a picture CD to be returned to you once the images are developed. This instantly converts your analog images into digital.

2. Insert the CD into your computer, open "My Computer" (or "Computer") and double-click the CD icon. You can now click-and-drag your digital images onto your computer.

3. If you already have developed SLR pictures you want to convert to digital, place a photograph on your scanner.

4. Click "Start," "All Programs," "Accessories" and finally "Scanner and Camera Wizard." This loads a small program that allows you to scan content and import it into the computer.

5. Choose "Scan," then click "Scan" once more, and the SLR picture is scanned into the computer. Select "Save," then title the picture and choose a location to save the picture to on your computer. Click "Save" once more, and the image is saved as a digital file on your computer.
