Metro PCS is a mobile service provider that offers prepaid mobile service via a monthly calling plan. Although it is a pre-paid mobile service, Metro PCS does provide many services and features that are also available with other mobile service providers. Voice mail, Address Book, Directory Assistance, MetroWeb, and Text Messaging are a few of the popular services that you can use with your Metro PCS phone.
Instructions
1. Purchase and activate your Metro PCS phone from a Metro PCS authorized dealer.
2. Customize your Metro PCS phone settings by going to your Metro PCS "Menu" options. Select "Settings." Choose the setting you would like to customize. For example, ring tone, screen saver, wallpaper, etc...
3. Setup your Metro PCS voice mail by pressing and holding down "1" on your keypad. Follow the prompts to set a standard greeting or to record your own personalized voice mail greeting. Once your voice mail has been setup, you can press and hold down "1" in order to retrieve new messages.
4. Create your address book "Contact List" by going to your Metro PCS "Menu" options. Select "Contacts." Choose "Names." Select "Options" and "Add New Contact." Enter the name and contact information for your first contact. Repeat this step until all of your contacts have been entered.
5. Use your "Metro 411" service to obtain directory assistance. To get to the Metro411 option, click on "Menu." Select "Contacts." Select "Metro411."
6. Send a text message by going to your MetroPCS "Menu" options. Select "Messaging." Choose "Text Messages." You will see the option to "Create Message." If you would like to check incoming text messages, click on the "Inbox" option.
7. Access the Internet on your Metro PCS phone by going to your "Menu" options. Select the "Metro Web" option.
8. Pay your Metro PCS phone bill before the due date each month to ensure that your service is not interrupted.
