View Slides On A Computer

A slideshow is made up of individual slides providing a visual presentation to the viewer. It can be created using presentation software, such as Microsoft's PowerPoint or other presentation templates on the Internet. Slides can contain images, texts, tables, graphs, and other visual information presented in an interactive manner usually with navigation buttons and special effects. Slideshows are created for both personal or business use.

Instructions

Slideshow File

1. Locate the slideshow file in your computer. If it's stored in an external device, plug the drive into the computer and locate the directory where the file is saved. If it is stored as an email attachment, or found as a downloadable file on a webpage, download the file into your computer first.

2. Identify the slideshow file type. There are different types of software programs that are used to create slideshows. Often, slideshows created by these programs run on your computer only if that software is installed, unless it is an executable file. A slideshow file with an ".exe" extension will run independently even without the software installed.

3. Open the file by double-clicking, clicking and pressing the "Enter" key, or right-clicking the filename and choosing "Open" from the drop-down menu.

4. Click the navigation buttons to view the slides. Some slideshows are set to "AutoPlay" once you open the file, but you can pause and navigate individual slides using the "Play", "Pause", "Move to the Previous or Next Slide", or "End the Slide Show" buttons.

5. Replay the slideshow as desired by clicking the "Play" button.

6. Close the file when done.
