Plan And Take Fun And Cheap Large Family Vacations

Taking big or large family vacations require a lot of advance planning. Vacations for large families are especially challenging if family members are of different age groups or have different interests. Instead of forcing a big family vacation on all family members, make the family vacation enjoyable for everyone by following the steps below.

Note: As you read, look out for tips on cheap large family vacations.

Instructions

1. Ask all family members to contribute ideas for the vacation in advance -

Make everyone feel like they are part of the family vacation planning process by asking everyone for their input. Try to plan out your trip so that each member has at least one travel plan that they are really looking forward to. Plan trips that are most enjoyable to as many family members as possible. Try to modify vacation expectations so that several family members of the same age group are looking forward to the same thing.

2. Drive two separate cars if possible -

If you have two adults than consider taking two separate cars so you can split up. This way you can take older family members to one outing while taking younger ones on another outing. You can also have one car of family members preparing food while the other car of family members goes vacationing and then switch off the next day. Taking two cars can also work out as cheap or cheaper than taking one big car because you can save on gas if you only take one small car to each outing instead of having to take a large car or van wherever you go.

3. Find vacation accomidation options that do not depend on number of residents -

Try to book a whole vacation house or other rental unit that lets you sleep as many people as you want for the same price. You can also try hostels for cheap family accommodations. If you want an especially cheap family vacation, you can try camping out.

4. Take only the family members that will appreciate it to expensive spots -

If you are planning on going to paid vacation spots, such as amusement parks, try taking only the family members that will really enjoy it. Plan a different activity for family members that will not enjoy it as much. This will not only save money on the vacation, but make it more enjoyable for everyone.

5. Create a buddy-system for safety -

Give each family member a partner that they should look out for and make sure the other does not get lost or forgotten. This is especially important if you have a lot of children or even teenagers.
