The SIRIUS Starmate 5 is a Dock-and-Play Satellite Radio, but it isn't compatible with all docking products made by SIRIUS, including the Executive Desktop Docking Station.
Different Docks
Over the years SIRIUS Satellite Radios have become progressively smaller. This has allowed SIRIUS to make smaller, sleeker docks for them to connect to. As a result, more modern radios like the Starmate 5 aren't compatible with older docks like the Executive Desktop Docking Station.
Considerations
If you have an Executive Desktop Docking Station, you will only be able to use it with a compatible Satellite Radio, like a Sportster Replay. They're no longer being produced, but you may find a Sportster Replay available from eBay or another online retailer.
Starmate 5 Radio
The SIRIUS Starmate 5 is no longer being produced, but is still available for sale from many locations and is compatible with current SIRIUS XM products. You can buy a compatible powered speaker system, similar to the Executive Desktop Docking Station, at the SIRIUS website. Click on "Compatibility" tab to make sure it lists the Starmate 5 as being compatible. Otherwise, search other online retailers for a speaker dock that has "universal docking capability." This means it will be compatible with the Starmate 5.
