With some cameras, when you take a picture you may notice a date and time stamp in the bottom corner of the image. Although this can be nice to help remind you when the picture occurred, it can also be distracting. If you do find the date stamp distracting you are in luck because it is possible to remove the stamp, both before and after the image is made.
Instructions
1. Power on your digital camera. Bring up the main menu and select the picture options. From here you can select the option to allow or remove the date stamp. Deselect this option and all future images do not have the image stamp on them.
2. Turn on your computer and open the image editing software you have. You may have a powerful editor such as Adobe Photoshop, or you may just have what came on the computer (such as "Paint").
3. Open your JPEG image in the program by clicking "File," followed by "Open." This brings up a small search window that allows you to browse the computer for your image. Select your JPEG and click "OK."
4. Select the "Blur" tool. Move the blur tool over the date stamp, left click the mouse and drag it over the date. This is going to blur out the image of the date, however not all photo editing programs have this tool.
5. Click the "Crop" tool (this is on Windows "Paint"). Drag it over the date and time stamp. Release the mouse and a small rectangle is made around where you clicked. Press the "Delete" button and the date is removed. It may be best to drag the crop option across the entire bottom of the image. This is going to keep the image in a rectangular shape.
