Hp Pavilion A610e Specs

The A610e is a highly configurable desktop computer produced by Hewlett Packard as part of its Pavilion series of home computers. This BTO (built-to-order) product uses a standard chassis but comes with a choice of processor, motherboard, hard drive, memory, graphics card, sound card, optical drives, ports and peripherals.


Processor








The A610e comes with an AMD Athlon XP 2500+ processor, with a speed of 1.83 gigahertz, as standard. This could be upgraded to a 2800+ model with a speed of 2.08 GHz, a 3000+ model with a speed of 2.16 GHz, or a 3200+ model with a speed of 2.2 GHz.


Motherboard


The A610e came with a choice of either an ASUS A7N8X-LA or HP Kelut-GL6E motherboard.


Memory


The A610e has two DIMM (dual in-line memory module) memory slots. The standard memory fitted is 256 megabytes of DDR SDRAM. This could be upgraded to 512 megabytes, or 1 gigabyte.


Hard Drive


This system comes with an Ultra DMA (direct memory access) hard drive with a speed of 7,200 rpm (revolutions per minute), which makes it fast at reading and writing date. The default drive size is 80 gigabytes, but this can be upgraded to 120 or 160 gigabytes.


Graphics


The A610e uses integrated graphics processing provided by a Via UniChrome graphics chip as standard. This can be upgraded to a 64 MB NVIDIA GeForceFX 5100, a 128 MB NVIDIA GeForceFX 5200XT, a 256MB NVIDIA GeForceFX 5500, or a 256MB ATI Radeon 9800 dedicated graphics card.








Sound


Integrated 5.1 capable sound is provided as standard. This can be upgraded to a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS sound card.


Physical Specifications


The A610e uses a Micro ATX HP Pavilion a-series chassis. This measures 15.75 inches tall, 7.5 inches wide, and 15.75 inches deep. The weight of the unit would depend on the exact configuration of components chosen.
