Use Bower Fd Lens Adapter On A Canon Xti

You can use older discontinued lenses on new auto-focus camera bodies with the use of lens adapter.

The Bower Lens Adapter is a device you attach to an auto-focus film or digital single lens reflex camera like the Canon Rebel XTi. When the adapter is installed on a auto-focus camera body, it enables the photographer to use older manual focus lenses on those bodies. The adapter is strictly a mounting device. You will still need to adjust the focus and aperture on the older lenses however. Using the adapter will give photographers with an investment in older lenses an opportunity to use them on new camera equipment.

Instructions

1. Install the Bower Lens Adapter on the Canon XTi by lining up the dot on the adapter with the red dot on the camera mounting plate. Rotate the adapter until it clicks into place.

2. Adjust the open/close dial on the adapter to the open position. Adjust the aperture ring on the older lens to its widest (smallest) number. Line up the red dot on the lens with the notch on the adapter. Rotate the lens until it clicks into position.

3. Adjust the lens aperture by turning the open/close dial on the adapter. Focus the lens as you would normally.

4. Take the picture as you normally would by pressing the shutter release after you have composed the picture to your liking.
