Program Spektrum Dx7 Radios

The Spektrum DX7 radio is designed to work with gas- and glow-powered RC aircraft.


The Spektrum DX7 radio is designed to work with radio-controlled model aircraft. This radio will help you navigate your way to safety either before or after you leave the ground. You can store up to 20 different airplane or helicopter models in this radio. It can also be programmed to work in trainer mode. This will help navigate your flight prior to leaving the ground. The Spektrum DX7 radio can help you make an automatic landing while in-flight. Take along the Spektrum DX7 radio for a safe flight.


Instructions


Storing a Model


1. Turn the Spektrum DX7 radio off by holding down the "Power" button.


2. Press the "Down" and "Select" buttons at the same time then turn on the "Power" switch. This will open the "System Setup Mode."


3. Press either the "Increase" or "Decrease" keys until you see "Model Select" on the screen.


4. Press either the "Increase" or "Decrease" keys to select the model of the airplane or helicopter you want to store in the memory. Press "Select" when done. The Spektrum DX7 comes preloaded with information about different model airplanes and helicopters. Once you select a particular model, it will call up information about the particular aircraft.








Trainer Mode


5. Hold the "Down" and "Select" keys at the same time while turning on the transmitter.








6. Press the "Up" key until you see the word "Transfer" on the display screen.


7. Press either the "Increase" or "Decrease" keys to select what type of training you want to do. "Normal" is the most basic training mode. In "P-Link," the master transmitter maintains control of all secondary functions, including gear flaps, dual rate and expo while the primary stick controls everything else (elevator, rudder and throttle). In "SLAVE/P-Link" mode, the transmitter works with the radio as the master programmer.


8. Press "Select" when done to enter training mode.


Automatic Landing


9. Turn the device on by holding the "Power" button.


10. Press the "Select" key until the you see the word "Auto" highlighted.


11. Press either the "Increase" or "Decrease" buttons to activate the "Automatic Landing System."


12. Change the value by pressing either the "Increase" or "Decrease" keys (0% means low stick while 100% means full stick).


13. Clear the auto land point by pressing the "Clear" button. The display will return to the "INH" screen.
