Customize Your Own Skins For Your Phone

Cell phone accessories are very popular because they offer customizations to make your cell phone very personal. Skins are created for phones and laptops that provide a way for people to express themselves, or display the loves of their lives, be it another person, pet, or idea. Customizing your cell phone skins is simple and only requires a computer with a graphics program like GIMP, which is a free downloadable graphics program.

Instructions

1. Measure your cell phone's dimensions in inches.

2. Round the measurements up to the nearest half inch.

3. Multiply the inches by 200. These numbers are the number of pixels your image should be.

4. Open your graphics program. Use RGB colors and 200 dpi or dots per inch.

5. Create your own image to use as a skin. The end image should be at least 500 KB.

6. Print on skin paper with adhesive backing. Trim paper according to your cell phone's dimensions, and peel off backing. Stick to your phone, working from the center of your phone out.
