Reset A Treo 650

A Treo 650, like many smartphones, can freeze when too much information is being sent to and from it at any one time. Sometimes, the Treo 650 will reset itself with this happens. However, sometimes the reset needs to be done manually. This is a relatively easy process that takes just a few minutes if you follow these steps. Read on to learn more.


Instructions


1. HotSync your Treo 650 to your computer to back up anything that might be on your phone. While a soft reset shouldn't erase any information or files from your phone, it's a good practice to make sure everything is backed up.


2. Remove the battery cover on the back of your Treo 650. Pressing the button on the back of the Treo and sliding the battery case downward does this.


3. Unfold a paper clip or use your stylus to poke at the embedded black button near the left side of the battery. It should have the word "Reset" etched next to it.


4. Release the black button. The screen with go blank. Then, the Palm screen will appear. The system will reboot and your phone should be back up in a couple minutes.
