With the iTunes program on your computer, you can search, purchase and download media from the iTunes store, then sync content to your iPhone. If you are on the go, bypass the iTunes program and download applications directly to your iPhone with the App Store. You can access the App Store icon from the iPhone Home screen. Utilize your iTunes account information to purchase applications and games from the App Store.
Instructions
1. Open the "App Store" icon on your Home screen.
2. Tap "Search" on the task bar at the bottom of the screen. This will activate the search feature.
3. Type in the name of the app you want to download, then tap the "Search" button.
4. Select an app from the results list that appears. The app's main page will load.
5. Tap the "Price" button.
6. Tap "Install." A prompt will appear requesting your iTunes password.
7. Enter the password, then tap the "OK" button. The app will download to your Home screen.
