Nikon Sb800 Tutorial

Add a powerful flash to your camera.


Nikon is a Japanese company that specializes in optics and imaging. Nikon manfactures various types of cameras and a range of camera accessories. The SB800 is an external flash that can be installed onto some of Nikon's digital or film SLR cameras. This flash is useful for professional photography as it gives you more control over the amount of light you use during the shot.


Instructions


1. Slide the battery panel at the side of the flash until it clicks open. Insert the four AA batteries and replace the panel.


2. Turn on the camera and the flash.








3. Rotate the foot lock lever to the left, and slide the mounting foot into the camera's hot shoe. Rotate the foot lock lever to the right to lock the flash in place.


4. Hold down the flash head lock release button to adjust the position of the flash head.


5. Press and hold the "On/Off" button for 0.3 seconds to turn on the SB800. Wait for the ready light to come on. Press the "On" button on the camera to turn the camera on. The flash is now set up for use.
