Is The Dcm250/37b Compatible With Ipod Touch

The Philips DCM250/37B docking entertainment system is compatible with iPod Touch to play uploaded music and video files. This is especially convenient if you want to enjoy your favorite music using a louder speaker system. The mount on the dock is compatible with iPod Touch and does not require additional brackets or adapters to play media.

Compatibility

The Philips DCM250/37B docking entertainment system comes with a built-in dock that's compatible with iPod Touch media players. The device is only compatible with iPod models with a 30-pin dock connector. iPod Touch comes with a 30-pin dock connector, so the multimedia player will mount perfectly in the entertainment system's dock.

Mounting

Before mounting the iPod Touch in the Phiilips DCM250/37B's dock, you must remove the screw on the dock and then place the back plate upright. The iPod will rest on the back plate. Place the iPod touch in the dock and let it rest on the back plate. It should automatically snap into place because the connector on the player matches the connector on the dock. With the back plate in the correct position, tighten the screw.

Listening

When the Philips DCM250/37B entertainment system is plugged into an electrical outlet, the iPod automatically begins to charge. To listen to music uploaded to your media player, press the iPod button on the entertainment system to select the iPod source. Once selected, the iPod will begin to play automatically. Use the controls on the entertainment system to move back and forth between songs, pause and stop the music completely. Press the Menu and then use the controls to adjust play settings.

Video

The COMPONENT VIDEO OUT port on the back of the Philips DCM250/37B entertainment system allows you to connect the system to a TV to enjoy video from the iPod Touch. To watch video on a TV, you need a component video cable. The jack on the cable connects to the COMPONENT VIDEO OUT port on the back of the entertainment system and the three color-coded pins on the cable connect to the red, blue and green COMPONENT VIDEO input on the TV. With the iPod still mounted on the dock, press the Menu button to display the iPod's menu. Select the video file and press OK to play it.
