Store A Number On The Sim Card On A Samsung Slide Phone

The default for saving numbers on a Samsung slide phone is the phone's memory card. Dropping your phone, getting it wet and electrical interference can all erase the numbers on your phone's memory. Saving numbers to the SIM card ensures that you retain all of your important contact information no matter what happens to your phone.

Instructions

1. With the phone in idle mode, access the Menu by pressing the "Menu" soft key. Scroll to the Phonebook icon using the Navigation keys. Press "OK" to enter the phone book.

2. Scroll until you have highlighted the Management key and press "OK." Highlight Default saving and press "OK." Select SIM card and press the "Select" soft key or the "OK" key. You have now changed your Samsung slide phone default settings to save numbers on the SIM card.

3. Return to idle mode and follow Step 1. Highlight the Add new contact option and press "OK." Type a name in the text box and press the "Down" key to move to the next box.

4. Enter the phone number. Continue to scroll down using the Navigation keys and fill out the fields for Picture ID, Ringtone and Group.

5. Press the "Save" soft key or the "OK" key when you are finished. The number is now saved in your SIM card. Press the power button (red phone icon key) to return to idle mode.
