Delete Music From A Zune Mp3 Player

Zune MP3 players are portable media devices that allow you to upload music and customize play lists by artists, albums and songs. These sleek portable devices support different hard drive sizes such as 8GB, 30GB and 80GB allowing you to upload more songs. If you have maxed out your MP3 player's memory space, you can free some up by deleting songs you don't listen to anymore.

Instructions

1. Download Zune Desktop Manager Software (see Resources) if you do not already have it. Install it to your computer.

2. Connect one end of the USB cable to the USB port on your Zune MP3 player. Connect the other end to an empty USB port on your computer.

3. Launch Zune Desktop Manager from the desktop or the location you saved it during installation. Click the "Collection" tab. Then select the "Music" folder.

4. Right-click on the music file you want to delete, then click "Delete." Select the delete option you want. You can delete the file from your player and retain it on the computer. Or you can delete it from the player and the computer as well.

5. Click "OK" to complete the deletion process.
