Troubleshoot Panasonic Hd40 Video Camera Software

You need the Panasonic HD computer software to function properly, if you want to upload the recorded video content.

The Panasonic HD40 is a home-user-based high-definition video camera that records directly onto a built-in hard drive. When you want to upload the video content to a computer system you must use the provided Panasonic HD40 video camera software. If, however, the footage is not uploading properly to the software you need to troubleshoot the problem. Typically this is due to a connection issue with the video camera itself.

Instructions

1. Connect the Panasonic HD40 video camera directly to your computer via the provided USB data cable. This cable must be inserted completely into both connection ports, otherwise you are unable to stream the video information to the computer.

2. Close out any other video editing programs and AutoPlay windows. If you accept the request from a different program to upload the content the Panasonic HD40 software is not going to be used, or you may receive an error message stating the video content has already been uploaded.

3. Set the Panasonic HD40 video camera to "View" mode. If you don't, then software is unable to read and upload the recorded video.

4. Open the Panasonic HD40 software before connecting the video camera. If you connect the video camera first the software may not detect the connect hardware.

5. Close out the software, then restart it if the program does not detect the video camera when first booting up. This typically corrects most issues with the software.
