Get Email On Your Windows Mobile Phone

A Windows mobile phone has a wide variety of services and options available that will help keep a user connected when they are mobile. One option that many Windows mobile users utilize is getting email on a Windows mobile phone. Windows mobile phones such as Smart phones are capable of receiving email messages as they arrive to a standard POP3 email account. A POP3 email account stores and then delivers your email to you from a remote server. Any time you connect with the server, you can download your emails to a computer or to a mobile phone inbox.

Instructions

1. Turn your Windows mobile phone on and press "Start." Select "Messaging" and then select "New Email Account."

2. Enter your email address as it appears in your POP3 account. This will be a name and then the "@" symbol, followed by the rest of the email address.

3. Remove the checkmark from the box to the left of "Try to get email settings automatically..." and click "Next."

4. Enter a user name and click "Next."

5. Enter the incoming mail server in the next field. This will be "mail." and then the last portion of your email address that follows the "@" symbol. Click "Next."

6. Type the same username you use for the POP3 email account and enter the same password you use for the account. Place a checkmark to the left of "Save Password."

7. Enter the outgoing mail server in the next field. This will be the same as the incoming mail server you entered in step five. Leave the box empty to the left of "Outgoing server requires authentication." Click "Next."

8. Select the frequency you wish the mobile phone to check for messages and click "Finish." Your Windows mobile phone will now be ready to accept email messages from this email address.
