Use A Powershot S5 Is

The Canon PowerShot S5 IS is one of Canon's compact digital cameras, falling between the basic consumer-level models and high-end professional cameras in Canon's digital camera lines. The PowerShot S5 IS has a 12x optical zoom, an 8.0 megapixel sensor, and more than 20 shooting modes. Canon released the S5 IS in 2007. It's released updated models since then with more advanced features.


Instructions


1. Turn the camera on by turning the power switch on the top right of the camera toward the camera icon. Don't cover the lens as it will extend out when the camera starts up. The first time you turn the camera on, the set time and date screens will appear. Use the directional controls next to the LCD screen to set the date and time. Up and down change the numbers, left and right switch to the next attribute to change. Press "OK" when you're done.


2. Turn the mode dial on the top of the camera to "Auto." Look through the viewfinder or at the LCD screen and press the zoom lever to the right to zoom in on a subject. Press the zoom lever to the left to zoom out.








3. Press the shutter button halfway down to focus an image. Make sure you are not obscuring the lens. Press the shutter button all the way down to take a picture.








4. Push the power switch toward the play icon to enter play mode and view the photographs you've taken. Press the right and left directional buttons to switch between photographs. Press the trash icon to delete a photo.
