Mount A Camera On A Tripod

Connect your camera to a tripod.

A camera tripod is a three-legged device that is designed to stand firmly on the ground, allowing you to take pictures with a stable camera This is especially helpful when taking evening and night shots where the camera lens must be open longer. The mounting process only takes a few moments and once set you are ready to begin capturing still images.

Instructions

1. Remove the camera plate from the tripod. There is a small release lever on the side of the tripod that unlocks the plate from the top of the device. While holding down the release, pull the camera plate out of the tripod.

2. Locate the screw in the middle of the camera plate. This is where the camera plate attaches to the camera.

3. Fit the screw into the connection hole on the bottom of the camera. Twist the camera plate into the bottom of the camera. There is usually a small handle on the bottom of the camera plate that tightens the screw into the camera.

4. Slide the camera plate back into the tripod. When it snaps into place the camera is ready for use.
