Description
This two-way communication radio weighs 1.2 lbs and is 6.5 by 7.5 by 2.75 inches. The LCD display is 3.375 by .937 inches and shows the time and operation mode. The radio acts as more than a communication device; it also features an alarm clock with snooze, an AM/FM radio, a flashlight and a USB connector to charge a cell phone, if necessary. It also has an emergency crank to power it up and automatically alerts you when there is a severe weather warning.

The Midland Base Camp Radio has 22 channels and 121 privacy codes. It has five different alert tones for incoming calls from people in your group and a "Roger Beep" to signal the end of a call. The radio also features five power options -- a rechargeable battery pack, crank, AC adapter, DC adapter or 4 standard AA batteries. Its dual-watch system allows you to monitor two channels at once, and it automatically removes interfering background noise.
