Instructions
1. Buy a serial cable directly from the TiVo website. Click the "Accessories" link on the left side of the TiVo homepage. On the next page, click the "Cables" link found in the "Networking, cables and more" box. Scroll down on the next page until you locate the TiVo serial cable you wish to purchase. 2. Contact a retail store that sells TiVo DVRs and TiVo supplies (see Resources). Well-known stores like Sears and Best Buy sell everything you need to get your TiVo up and running. Several other stores will be listed on the "Retail center" portion of the TiVo website. Call these stores before visiting, so you will know they have TiVo serial cables in stock. You may also be able to order the serial cable over the phone.
