The MM-8300 is a multimedia cell phone designed by Sanyo. At the time of its release in 2005, the phone had some of the industry's most advanced multimedia features. Instructions
1. Verify that you have the latest version of the Sanyo MM-8300's internal driver software. Press the "Menu" button on the Sanyo 8300. Click "Tools." Scroll down and select "Update Phone SW." Any applicable updates will be downloaded. Such data downloads are typically not charged to your cell phone service account.
2. Connect the Sanyo MM-8300 device to your PC. Plug the small, thin end of its USB cable into the bottom of the phone. Insert the standard-sized USB plug in an open USB port on your PC.
3. Press the "Menu" button on the Sanyo phone's keypad. Press "Tools." Select "PC Sync." Select"Ringers" or "Images," depending on what type of data you wish to transfer to the Sanyo 8300.
4. Look at your PC's desktop. A folder will be displayed, showing the contents of the Sanyo phone. Drag a new ringtone or image to the folder. The phone will sync with your PC and transfer the file through its USB connection. Disconnect upon completion.
5. Delete any transferred files on the Sanyo MM-8300 if the phone's internal memory card is full. Press the phone's "Menu" key and select "Tools." Press "PC Sync" and click "Erase Data." Ensure you have a copy of any files you wish to keep on your computer, as this process deletes all transferred files.
