Your BlackBerry 8100 Pearl phone is old and could probably use a few updates. One thing you can do is start upgrading the applications you have installed. Whether it is a stock BlackBerry application or one that you downloaded, you can upgrade it to the latest version. Otherwise, you could be missing out on some important features needed for the application.
Instructions
1. Connect your phone to the computer with the USB cable.
2. Open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager. If you do not have the latest version, you can download it from the BlackBerry website.
3. Click "Applications" to view the list of applications for your Pearl.
4. Click the plus icon ("+") next to the application that you wish to update. "Pending" appears next to the application. You can click the plus sign next to multiple applications you need to update.
5. Click "Apply" and wait for the updates to install on the phone. Do not disconnect the phone from the computer. The phone will restart when the updates are done installing.
