The Denon AVR-1507 is an AV receiver. Its main purpose is to receive and transmit FM and AM radio signals, but it has several other useful features, such as Apple iPod connectivity. Denon discontinued the AVR-1507 and most audio retailers no longer carry it. However, you can still purchase the AVR-1507 in used condition.
Inputs and Outputs
A plethora of inputs is built in to the Denon 1507. An iPod docking station allows you to play music from your iPod through the speakers connected to the receiver while charging the iPod. Optical and coaxial SPDIF, as well as phono and RCA inputs, provide connections for speakers. Video inputs and outputs are also included; three S-video, three component, and four composite ports provide inputs while two composite, one component, and two S-video ports function as outputs. A headphone jack is included on the AVR-1507 as well.
Power
The maximum power output for the Denon AVR-1507 is 585 watts at 8 Ohms. Each channel can support a minimum of 75 watts at 8 Ohms. An internal power supply uses the standard 120-volt AC connection at 60 Hz. Dual AC power outlets are built in to the Denon AVR-1507. Input impedance is 47 Kilo-Ohms and input sensitivity is 200 mV.
Sound Processing
The Denon AVR-1507 can support up to seven channels and can decode Dolby Digital Pro Logic II, DTS-ES, Dolby Digital EX, DTS 96/24, DTS Neo 6, DTS, and Dolby Digital surround sound. Surround type is 7.1 and the response bandwidth is in between 20 and 20,000 Hz. The signal to noise ratio is 98 dB. The Denon AVR-1507 has a harmonic distortion of 0.08 percent.
Size and Build
The weight of the Denon AVR-1507 is 24.69 lbs. It's 17.09 inches wide, 5.79 inches tall, and 16.42 inches deep and is available only in black. A fluorescent display is built into the receiver and you can use a universal infrared remote control to change sound settings.
