Drain your phone battery before recharging it to make the charge last longer.
For many of us, our cell phones have become indispensable. It is more common to find people who have no landline phones and only use a cell phone than people who do not have a cell phone at all. Thus, it is very important to know use the charger that comes with your cell phone to get the maximum usage from your phone and avoid needing a charge at inconvenient times.
Instructions
1. Unwrap your cell phone packaging and remove the phone and the charger from the box if it is a new phone. If it is not new, power down your phone or turn it off.
2. Find an electric outlet that you know is working and plug the charger into the outlet. Find the hole in the side or bottom of the phone where the charger goes.
3. Gently push the end of the charger into the charger hole, holding the end straight. Do not push it in roughly.
4. Turn on your phone and look at the screen. There is and indicator that will tell you that your phone is charging--look for a battery symbol, a lightening bolt or something else that indicates a connection to a charger.
5. When the indicator shows 100 percent, carefully remove the charger from the hole in the phone. Look at the top of the phone and find the indicator on your particular phone that tells you how much of a charge your phone has. The first three times you charge your phone, allow it to discharge completely and then charge it fully. This is called conditioning the memory and it will make your battery last longer.
6. Keep the battery away from extreme heat or cold. Never throw or drop the battery.
