An Ipod To A Home Theater

The best aspect of an iPod is its versatility. Not only are you able to listen to your music while on the treadmill, watch video clips while on the bus and download radio shows from your computer, newer versions of iPods are compatible with your home theater system as well. Here are some tips on add an iPod to a home theater.








Instructions


1. Set up your home theater system. Make sure you have your audio running through your receiver, whether you will be listening to music, playing a movie or watching TV.


2. Activate your iPod and load it with music you wish to play through your home theater system.


3. Plug in the iPod A/V cable into the single-prong connection port on the top of your iPod, and run the three outlets on the cord into your TV or video receiver. You may need to have your TV set on its Input channel to receive the video feed.








4. Test whether or not the audio feed is coming through by selecting a song on your iPod and pressing "Play." The song should come through the speakers.


5. Test whether or not the video feed is coming through by playing the movie or TV show you select on your iPod and pressing "Play." The time bar on the bottom that indicates the amount of time remaining in the movie will be counting down if it is working.
