Change Sennheiser Cushions

Sennheiser manufactures a line of high-end headphones for private listening on home stereo systems and personal audio devices. The cushions are the foam-padded covers that attach to the earpiece on either side of the headphone to form a sound-proof barrier. The cushions also make the headphones more comfortable to wear for long listening sessions. Replacing cushions, if they become torn or worn out, takes only a few minutes.

Instructions

1. Remove the old cushions by grasping each cushion near the bottom and pulling upward and away from the earpiece on each side of the headphone. The cushions are made with a circular groove around the inside that fits over a circular lip around the outside of the hard, plastic earpiece.

2. Gently separate the two edges on either side of the groove on the back of a new cushion.

3. Slip the groove onto the lip of the earpiece.

4. Press the new cushion into place by gradually working the groove onto the lip around the cushion with your fingertips. It may be necessary to pull slightly on the cushion to stretch it onto the lip so the cushion slides into position.

5. Repeat for the cushion on the other side.
