1. Pay to get out of your contract. All providers offer this option, which can be found within your contract and is usually listed as an "early termination fee." You will need to decide whether the cost of this fee is worth ending your contract early. This fee is usually around a few hundred dollars, a small price to pay if you still have a year or more left on your contract.
2. Find someone else to take over your contract. You can first try asking friends and family but, if that doesn't work, you can advertise your phone on a call-swapping website. These sites bring together those who have unwanted plans and those who need a plan with extra perks, which you may have to offer in order to get someone to take over your contract.
3. Wait for your contract to end. This may be your only other option if you don't want to pay the early termination fee and you can't find anyone else to take over your contract.
