The Samsung Solstice is a touch-screen smartphone for the AT&T network that uses a proprietary operating system to handle the phone's functions. The phone has very little on-board memory and requires a microSD card if you want to add music, video or application files. The Solstice supports microSD cards up to 16 gigabytes. By inserting a microSD card, you can make better use of the assorted features on the Samsung Solstice.
Instructions
1. Press down on the battery cover, located on the back of the Samsung Solstice. Slide it toward the top of the phone to remove it and expose the battery compartment.
2. Examine the battery compartment. You will find a metal bracket above the battery that retains the phone's SIM card. Below the bracket and near the battery, you will see a small slot that houses the microSD card.
3. Insert the microSD card into the slot, making sure the contacts are facing up and the notch on the card is facing the left side of the phone. If you attempt to insert the card the wrong way, you'll encounter resistance. Do not force the card into the slot.
4. Press in on the microSD card until you feel a click.
5. Position the battery cover over the phone so that the top of the cover hangs over the top edge of the Samsung Solstice. Press down on the battery cover and slide it toward the bottom of the phone to reattach it. You will hear a click when the cover is in place.
