Import A Mini Dvd To A Computer

Insert your mini DVD into the DVD-ROM's inner concentric depression.

Importing video content captured on your camera is essential to editing the events and memories you've put so much effort into recording. While you may be more familiar with the process of extracting content from a normal-sized DVD, you can also rip video from mini DVDs, provided your computer has the appropriate depression in its tray. DVD extraction utilities read and rip from mini DVDs as they would normal-sized ones, so you can rest assured that the content and hardware are compatible.

Instructions

1. Install a DVD ripper utility if you have not already done so. Consider ImTOO DVD Ripper, Aimersoft DVD Ripper or Xilisoft DVD ripper.

2. Insert the mini DVD into your DVD-ROM's inner depression. The mini DVD will rest securely in the center of the tray despite the extra space.

3. Launch your DVD ripper utility.

4. Select the mini DVD as the extraction source.

5. Select your desired file format from the extraction dialog's drop-down menu.

6. Select a destination folder for the extracted files if there is no default.

7. Click "Rip," "Import" or "Extract."
