Install A Sony Car Audio

Installing a Sony car audio system is a straightforward task. However, it does require some preparation before attempting to complete the job. By following the instructions step by step, Sony car systems can be fitted within an hour. Standard tools such as a flat headed screwdriver and a Philips screwdriver can be used to fit these systems. You may also need a release key. Fortunately, these are provided with the Sony car audio systems

Instructions

1. Slide the Sony car stereo into the stereo bracket. This acts a buffering zone between the stereo slot and the Sony car stereo. At the rear of the stereo, locate the connection wires and differentiate between the ground and live wires.

2. Find a suitable connection point for the ground wire. Ideally, connect the ground to the metal battery terminal or the inside metal panel of the car body. Connect the Sony car audio live wires to the universal connecting block. The live wires are colored in red or yellow or both. The universal connection block has easy to access terminals to make connection simple.

3. Place the newly wired Sony car stereo into the car stereo slot. Use the Sony release key to secure the bracket by rotating the bolts until they lock into place. Confirm that the stereo is in working order and wired correctly. This can be done by turning the keys in the car ignition to power up the stereo.
