Use The Canon Powershot Sd630 Digital Camera

A point-and-shoot camera is one that has built-in settings. You simply select a preset mode and click the shutter button to take a picture. As a point-and-shoot model, the Canon PowerShot SD630 is relatively easy to use. Even so, by learning about the camera and its features and capabilities, you will be able to take better pictures, and you will have a lot more fun doing so.

Instructions

1. Insert a memory card into the slot located near the battery well. The memory card is digital film, and without it you'll be limited to the PowerShot SD630's internal storage capacity, which is good for only a few photos.

2. Familiarize yourself with the different shooting modes. You can't manually adjust most settings on your point-and-shoot PowerShot SD630, but Canon has created several preset modes for your to use. For example, the "Portrait" setting focuses on close objects and blurs the background, which is perfect for taking shots of people.

3. Play around with the video. The PowerShot SD630 has advanced video settings that allow you to record up to an hour of video, depending on the quality of your video and the size of your memory card. Watch your video on the PowerShot SD630's LCD screen once you've recorded it to make sure it's to your liking.

4. Enhance your pictures using the PowerShot SD630's "My Colors" mode. Convert a picture to black-and-white or sepia, for instance, for dramatic effect. Or use one of Canon's preset color preferences to bring out the red, blue or green in your shot.

5. Transfer your images to your computer once you're ready to share them. Insert your memory card directly into your computer's memory card reader. If it doesn't have one, connect the USB cord included with your PowerShot SD630 to the USB port on the camera and the USB port on your computer. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the transfer.
