Problems With Using Usb For Photos With A Canon Sd1000

A USB cord is a fast way to transfer photos from a digital camera

The Canon SD1000 is a small point-and-shoot digital camera. A user can transfer photos from the camera to their PC using the USB cable included with the camera.

Software

It is important to install the software that shipped with your camera. If it is not installed, there might be connection problems, or your PC might not recognize the camera via USB. Follow the on-screen prompts when installing the software to make sure your software is correctly set up.

Connections

Check both the camera USB connection and the PC USB connection to make sure they are secure. This is especially important when using USB extension cables or a USB hub, because there are more connections that can go wrong.

Camera Mode

In order to transfer photos over USB, your camera must be set to "PLAYBACK" mode. To put your Canon SD1000 in this mode, move the mode selector switch to the icon that has a blue play icon inside a square.
