The Pentax K100D uses non-rechargeable batteries.
The Pentax K100D is a 6.1-megapixel DSLR camera that uses a CCD optical sensor. Popular with both entry-level and more experienced photographers, the K100D has a large selection of automatic features, manual operation mode, high ISO speeds and a 2.5-inch LCD screen. While most current DSLRs now use internal rechargeable batteries, the K100D runs off alkaline AA replaceable batteries, which are quick and easy to replace.
Instructions
1. Push and hold the battery door unlock lever (located on the base of the camera). Slide the door towards the lens until it clicks open.
2. Remove the four AA batteries from the battery chamber.
3. Insert four new AA batteries. Use the instructions inscribed on the chamber to insert the "+/-" ends of the battery correctly.
4. Close the battery door to press down the batteries. Press down and slide the unlock lever away from the lens until it clicks shut.
