Use An Rfid To Check An Order

RFID readers, or Radio Frequency Identification scanners, are devices for cataloging inventory products. RFID scanners use bar codes to itemize and track business inventory, coupled with integrated software. When implemented, an inventory system allows businesses to access available inventory levels, determine reorder volume, and check orders coming in or being processed out. Inventory ordered to replenish products sold is entered into the software interface, which is a computer program, and then certified when the ordered inventory is received.

Instructions

1. Locate the bar code on the ordered product or bulk order. This is a series of numbers and/or letters, combined with several vertical lines of varying width.

2. Hold the RFID reader parallel to the bar code. Depress the scan button or trigger to capture the bar code.

3. Read the display on the RFID scanner. It should contain a description of the product scanned. Cross reference the bar code with the order number by manually entering the bar code captured by the RFID into the software interface on the computer in which it was installed. The software interface catalogs all available inventory, sold inventory and ordered inventory. The manual entry of a captured code will return search results listing the order number, order date and order ship method.
