SanDisk's write-protection feature helps ensure you don't erase any special memories.
The 512-megabyte memory card from SanDisk is designed with a feature that allows the user to "lock" the card, meaning the image files it contains are protected from being accidentally deleted while the card is in the camera or a computer card reader. This feature is important for photographers who use several memory cards during one session or for people who have special photographs saved on the card. Locking is also called the "write protection" feature.
Instructions
1. Remove the SanDisk card from your camera or eject it from your computer's card reader. Consult your camera or computer user manual for specific instructions if you are using either device for the first time.
2. Inspect the upper left corner of the SanDisk card and find the small tab. This is the lock switch.
3. Move the switch upward. This is the unlocked position. Moving it down will lock the card again.
4. Return the card to your camera or computer's card reader. Try to delete an image to make sure the card is unlocked.
