My Palm Treo 680 Will Not Ring

If your Palm Treo 680 doesn't ring when someone calls, but other sounds work fine, chances are the ringer switch on the top of the phone has been switched to the off position. This periodically happens to the fact that the switch is exposed on the top of the phone. But there's no need to panic, all you have to do is slide the switch to the on position and your Treo will be ringing again.

Instructions

1. Turn on your Treo 68p smart phone if it isn't already and turn the unit so you are looking at the top of it. The ringer switch will be visible in the top-right corner of the top of the unit. On one side of the switch is the icon of a microphone with a line through it and the other side has the image of a regular microphone. the switch will be on the side with the microphone with the line through it.

2. Slide the ringer switch to the left until it is next to the icon of the regular microphone. This means that your ringer is now activated.

3. Test the ringer by waiting for a call or by calling yourself from another phone. You'll find that the ringer is working perfectly. You can adjust the volume by the using the switch on the upper portion of the left side of the smart phone.
