Print From A Bluetooth Device To An Inkjet Printer

Everything is going wireless these days and Bluetooth makes it easy. You can print to almost any inkjet printer from a Bluetooth device. Follow this quick guide to help you print from a Bluetooth device to an inkjet printer.

Instructions

1. Setup your Bluetooth enabled printer. Refer to the printer's user manual to find out how best to set up your printer. If your printer does not have Bluetooth built in, read on.

2. Make your printer Bluetooth enabled. There are tons of inexpensive Bluetooth printer adapters out on the market. Check your printer's manual or take a look at the port to see if it has a USB port, a parallel port or an expansion port. Write down your model number and go shopping.

3. Install your Bluetooth print adapter. This is usually as simple as plugging it in. You may need to install some software onto your computer if you will be printing from your computer.

4. Discover your printer on your computer. Once you have set up the printer or Bluetooth adapter, simply use your "add printer wizard..." You can find this in "Start | Settings | Control Panel | Printers and Faxes." When prompted, opt to "search for Bluetooth devices."

5. Discover your printer on a PDA or mobile Bluetooth device. These will usually have an option for BT (Bluetooth) Discovery. Select this option and it should display a list of available Bluetooth devices. Select your printer.

6. Print. Make sure you have your Bluetooth printer selected and print normally.
