Replace Otterbox For Iphone Screen

As of 2011, the OtterBox Defender Series is the only type of protective case offered by the brand that includes a screen protector as well as a case. The Defender Series case completely encloses the iPhone, including a thin plastic membrane to protect the screen from scratches. If your OtterBox screen protector has become damaged and you need to replace it, simply remove the old screen and follow the directions that you used to install the protector in the first place.

Instructions

1. Remove your iPhone from your OtterBox holster, if you use one. Snap the side lock off of the holster and slide your iPhone out.

2. Remove the silicone siding from around your iPhone by loosening the silicone plugs from all of the inputs, then carefully work your fingers under the silicone seal to remove the material altogether. Set aside.

3. Unsnap the three retention clips holding the OtterBox screen to the felt backing. Pull the two halves apart to remove the case completely from your phone.

4. Slide the bottom of the phone into the new screen protector and work your way up the phone, snapping the case in place. Repeat the motion for the back of the iPhone casing, with the felt side touching the back of your iPhone.

5. Snap the retention clips together around the phone to secure the screen protector to the back of the case.

6. Wrap the silicone shell around the case, starting at the top of the phone. Press the silicone seals into all of the inputs and press around the outside of the case to ensure that the silicone shell is securely in place.

7. Replace your iPhone in the OtterBox holster, if necessary.
