K40 Cb Antenna Install Instructions

The K40 is a base-loaded, magnet-mount CB antenna. It is designed for use with your car and truck. It mounts directly on the top of your vehicle without the need for mounting bolts. This is because the antenna is secured via the strong magnet on the bottom of the unit. Once the antenna is on top of your car you can plug the cable straight into the CB transceiver.

Instructions

1. Lay the components of the K40 out on a flat work surface. You should have an antenna whip (mast), antenna body and magnetized base with the coaxial connector cable attached.

2. Screw the antenna whip clockwise into the body of the antenna and firmly tighten it.

3. Place the antenna body onto the base and twist it clockwise until the metal lock secures the body. You can press the release button on the front of the antenna to release the body from the base.

4. Place the antenna on an unobstructed spot on the roof of your vehicle. The magnet will hold the antenna securely in place.

5. Drill a hole near the antenna in order to pass the coaxial cable through the vehicle. If you don't want to do this you can run the cable through your door seal. The rubber on the door edge won't break the cable.

6. Plug the coaxial cable into the antenna input jack on the front of your CB transceiver.
