Recover Deleted Photos From A Memory Card (From A Digital Camera)

Sometimes the "Delete" button gets hit by accident.

It can be very frustrating when you delete photos off your digital camera's memory card, only to find out your spouse or child never imported them onto your computer like you asked. If you want to get the photos back, you can try a few file-recovery software options, but none is guaranteed to find all of your missing photos.

Instructions

1. Download and install a photo file-recovery application, such as PC Inspector File Recovery (pcinspector.de), CardRecovery (cardrecovery.com) or Recover My Photos (recovermyphotos.com) on your computer.

2. Insert your memory card into your computer either with a memory card reader or by using the cable to link your camera to your computer.

3. Start the file recovery program you installed in Step 1 and select the drive that correlates with the memory card drive. Then select a folder or make a new one on your Desktop in which to save the recovered files. Click the program's "Start" button.

4. Give the program some time to find the files.

5. Check the folder you stipulated in Step 3 and see if any recovered photos are saved there. The file-recovery program will save any found files in that folder.
