The People widget is a great way to quickly display your favorite contacts on the HTC EVO 4G mobile phone. Each contact appears as an icon you can press to perform a default contact action, such as calling their phone number or opening a new text message to them. Customizing your preference for this default action is easy and allows you to customize the way you communicate with your contacts.
Instructions
1. Press the menu button on the bottom of the phone.
2. Select the the "All apps" option that appears on the pop-up menu.
3. Select the "People" option from the larger "All apps" pop-up menu that appears. This will take you to the complete list of your phone contacts.
4. Select the contact for which you want to change the default People widget action.
5. Press the "Menu" button at the bottom of the phone in the contact details screen.
6. Select the "More" option from the pop-up menu.
7. Select the "Set widget action" option from the next pop-up menu. This opens the "Select default action" menu.
8. Select the action you want as the default action in the People widget for that contact
