Put Music On A Sony Net Md Walkman

Use an optical cable to connect your Sony Net MD Walkman and audio source.

The Sony Net MD Walkman allows you to add music from external sources onto recordable MiniDiscs. You may use a compatible optical cable to connect your Sony Net MD Walkman's audio input port to a separate device, such as a CD player, personal computer or other audio source. From there you can record your favorite songs to enjoy on your Sony Net MD Walkman at any time.

Instructions

1. Insert a blank or otherwise recordable MiniDisc into your Sony Net MD Walkman.

2. Connect your Sony Net MD Walkman to an external audio source. Insert the optical end of your optical cable into the Sony Net MD Walkman's optical "Line In" port. Insert the other end of the cable into your audio source's "Line Out" or headphone output port. Use an optical-to-TRS or optical-to-RCA cable depending on if your audio source does not have an optical output.

3. Cue the audio source for immediate playback.

4. Push and slide the "REC" button on your Sony Net MD Walkman. Doing so begins recording to the Sony Net MD Walkman's inserted MiniDisc.

5. Push "Play" on your audio playback source immediately to avoid silence at the beginning of your Sony Net MD Walkman's recording.

6. Push "Stop" on the Sony Net MD Walkman when the audio source's playback has ended. Doing so completes the process of putting music on your Sony Net MD Walkman.
