You can make your Nextel phone unique by creating wallpaper for your screen's background.
Instructions
1. Search for a reliable wallpaper generator online that will work for Nextel phones. Third-party generators allow you to upload a photo or image link to create wallpaper and allow the generator to format the background to a specific size.
2. Carry your favorite photo around with you on your Nextel phone by adding it as a background. You should crop images to eliminate extraneous background and decrease the amount of editing needed to prepare the image for use as wallpaper.
3. Open all images that you have created within photo editing or graphics software to test out the image within your computer's visual parameters. Look at your Nextel phone's booklet for ideal resolution and apply these limitations to a photo as a guideline for editing.
4. Upload your edited image into a cell phone wallpaper application to make final preparations on your wallpaper. You can use software like Magic Wallpaper 5.2 to act as a middleman between your computer and your Nextel phone's Java application. Magic Wallpaper 5.2 and related applications can be obtained legally for free from the Download website (see Resources below).
5. Activate your phone's Java application after you create wallpaper to transfer your computer file onto your Nextel phone. Use the "Menu" button on your phone and scroll down the list of Java applications for your Internet browser.
6. Scroll through your computer's "Photo" folder on your Nextel phone to begin uploading new wallpapers. The Java application allows you to connect directly to your computer and apply any backgrounds you create in the appropriate file type.
7. Apply the wallpaper you create and upload to your Nextel phone by using the "Set as Wallpaper" option. Bring up the wallpaper file on your phone and press the "Options" menu while the photo is on screen to reach the "Set as Wallpaper" function.
