Ac Adapter Specifications For The Pentax K10d

The AC adapter designed for the Pentax K10D digital single-lens reflex camera is also know as the D-AC50, using Pentax's product designation system. The adapter is designed to provide unlimited power to your camera, which is of great utility on long shoots in the studio or when uploading images to your computer. The adapter coverts the AC (alternating current) electricity that comes out of your electrical sockets to DC (direct current) for use with the camera's electronics.

Compatibility

While the adapter works with the K10D, it also works with the K20D as well as the K7. However, it is officially only compatible with the K10D.

Use

To use the adapter, plug the three-pronged end of the cord in a three-pronged wall socket. Then plug the other end of this cord into the box that is the AC adapter. The cord attached to the AC adapter plugs into the DC power port on your K10D, located below the plastic flap on the right-hand side of the camera.

Voltage

The AC50 requires a 120V input, the output by plugs in North American households. The output is 7.2 volts, the same as the battery outputs.

Physical Dimensions

The charger is 6.5 inches long, 5 inches wide and 2 inches high. The adapter weighs 12 oz.
