Windows Mobile updates for the HP iPAQ 6515 are available online. You can install them on your phone via computer, using a USB cable, or on the phone directly through the Windows Mobile website. The installation process takes just a few minutes, and you will be able to utilize all of the updates provided in the Windows Mobile 5 and 6 versions.
Instructions
Update on the computer
1. Plug the phone into the computer with the USB cable provided with the phone.
2. Open ActiveSync on the computer; ActiveSync should launch automatically, but if it does not, go to the Start menu, open the "All Programs" menu and select "ActiveSync."
3. Navigate to the Updates for Windows Mobile Web page from your computer's Web browser.
4. Select the desired update, either Windows Mobile 5 or Windows Mobile 6.
5. Click "Download."
6. Follow the installation wizard's on-screen instructions. Press "Finish" to complete the installation. Restart the phone to refresh all of the new information.
Update directly to the phone
7. Open the Web browser on your HP iPAQ 6515.
8. Launch the Updates for Windows Mobile Web page. (See Resources)
9. Select the desired update from the menu, either Windows Mobile 5 or 6.
10. Select "Download."
11. Follow the installation wizard's instructions. Press the "Finish" to complete the installation process. Restart the phone to refresh all new information.
